The Society “SE SEC AND ECO RAILWAYS EMPLOYEES’ CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT SOCIETY LIMITED” was established in 1909 under the Co-operative Societies Act, and the Registered No. is 466. The Society runs by an autonomous body and is now guided by the act of The Multi State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 (as amended in 2023) along with The Multi State Co-operative Societies Rules, 2002 (as amended in 2023). At present, the Society has around 1,36,000 members and who are basically the employees of three Railway Zones i.e., S. E. Railway, S.E.C. Railway, E. Co. Railway and also from the Kolkata Metro Railway. The Society is still Considered as the biggest Co- operative in the country and is also synonymous with trust and security.

The Society solely extends the service to its member only. In line with recognized International Practice and for the information of member who will visit the Society's website, we believe it is necessary to post a privacy statement. The information shared with the Society will always be treated as private. We also desire to say explicitly that adequate precautions have been taken to protect information relating to members and their dealings with the Society from the mischievous and the fraudsters.

We collect information from members regarding name, employee no., date of birth, date of appointment, addresses, contact details, e-mail id, PAN, Aadhaar number, Photo, Signature, details of nominees etc.

It is in members’ interest, and it is our objective, for us to have accurate, current, and complete information concerning members and accounts. We have strict procedures that our employees abide by to meet this objective. While some procedures are required by the MSCS Act,2002 (as amended in 2023), along with The Multi State Co-operative Societies Rules, 2002 (as amended in 2023), we have implemented additional procedures to maintain accurate, current, and complete financial information, including processes to update information and remove outdated information. If members believe that we have incorrect information about members or members’ accounts, please email us through the feedback mechanism provided on the website or modify the profile information on the site as permissible. We will correct any erroneous information as quickly as possible.

We have procedures that limit access to personally identifiable information to those employees with a business reason for knowing such information about members.
